Meet the Instructors

Here are the instructors who teach at Thornton TKD.

Head Instructor

Master Daniel Fitch, 7th Degree Black Belt
Master Fitch started Taekwon-Do training in the late 1980's at Sereff Taekwon-Do under Grand Master Charles Sereff. He took a few years off to start to his family and then re-joined TKD in 2000 with his two children. He earned his 1st degree black belt in 2001 and began teaching in 2002, joining the Thornton TKD school in 2013 as an instructor under Master Barney Montano. In April of 2017, Master Fitch assumed the role of head instructor at the school. He continues to train at Sereff Taekwon-Do under Grand Master Renee Sereff and is a Class A Umpire for the USTF, the highest level of tournament official in the USTF. He has officiated at many local and regional tournaments including 3 national championships.

Assistant Instructors

Mr. Gregory Aksamit, 2nd Degree Black Belt
Mr. Aksamit began Taekwon-Do in 1981 attaining a high blue belt. Two young children and a move put a hold on his TKD plans, but he never gave up his goal of getting back in to TKD. He joined Thornton TKD in April of 2017, starting over again as a white belt. Mr. Aksamit earned his 1st degree black belt in August of 2021 and began helping with student instruction shortly afterwards including serving as team lead in competitions. He earned his 2nd degree in December 2022 and was named as an official assistant instructor. Mr. Aksamit is also a Class C Umpire for the USTF and has officiated at several local tournaments.
